King George Park is a 48 acre park in East Richmond. It offers a range of amenities, including an artificial turf field, spray and waterplay elements, a community garden, picnic area, a variety of trails and the Cambie Community Gathering Place public art piece.

The park has an active focus and contains many recreational features, such as sports fields, ball diamonds, basketball courts, tennis courts, and bleachers for spectators. The King George Park artificial turf field opened in 2008 and provides a high quality playing surface for various field user groups.

Waterplay Area

In addition to the sport-focussed amenities in the park, there is a waterplay-themed area with geysers, spray toys, and more. The waterplay is open from Victoria Day long weekend in May and closes after Labour Day, weather permitting. Please note: During extended periods of dry weather, the waterplay area may be closed for water conservation purposes.

REMINDER: Dogs are NOT permitted in the waterplay / splash pad area. This is a play space for children and parents only.

Picnic and BBQ Area

Adjacent to the waterplay area is a playground, public washroom, and large picnic area, including a covered shelter. The picnic area is perfect for summertime family gatherings and is also the designated BBQ area within the park. Please see the following PDF Document PDF map for more information. This picnic area is available on a first come, first served basis.
