Street Banner Program
The City of Richmond Street Banner Program is a community beautification initiative that celebrates Richmond’s people, places, culture and natural environment through public art displayed throughout the city.
Each year, community members are invited to submit original banner designs through the annual Street Banner Contest. Winning designs are selected and installed on street banner poles across Richmond, helping create vibrant public spaces while showcasing local creativity and community pride.
Banner artwork reflects Richmond’s parks, waterfronts, neighbourhoods, wildlife, cultural diversity and community experiences, capturing what makes the city unique.

2026 Street Banner Winners
The 2026 winning banner designs were unveiled on March 9 and installed throughout city streets. The 2027 Banner contest opens for submissions in August 2026.

Past Banner Designs
Past street banners and recycled banner bags are available for purchase at the Richmond Nature Park.
Available inventory includes previously displayed banners from past collections. Because banners have been installed outdoors, condition and appearance may vary due to weather exposure over time.
- Banner orders can be paid for and picked up at the Richmond Nature Park main reception located at 11851 Westminster Highway, daily from 9:00am to to 5:00pm.
- Availability is subject to change, customers are encouraged to call for availability and purchasing.

- Street banners: $10 each or two for $15
- Recycled banner bags: $8 each

Banner orders can be purchased and picked up at the Richmond Nature Park reception desk, located at 11851 Westminster Highway, during regular operating hours.
Banner Sponsorship
The Street Banner Sponsorship Program provides eligible organizations, such as corporations, non-profits and special event organizers, with opportunities to sponsor custom street banners in select locations throughout Richmond. Sponsorship pricing begins at $130 per pole for installation, with a minimum commitment of 12 poles. Sponsors are responsible for coordinating banner design and production in accordance with City guidelines.
