Request for Proposal (RFP) Branscombe House 2024 Artist Residency

Branscombe HouseThe City of Richmond’s Arts, Culture and Heritage Services invites professional artists in all disciplines (including writers, composers, visual artists, musicians, theatre artists, video, multi-disciplinary and performance artists) to submit proposals for an 11-month live-in residency to begin in January 2024 and run until mid-December 2024.

Branscombe House is a restored Edwardian-style house located in the residential area of Steveston. The self-contained two-bedroom suite upstairs is offered as an artist residence/studio with rent 100% subsidized in exchange for a minimum of 22 hours/month (240 hours total) of artist-led community-engaged programming.

This residency is located in a heritage building and, as such, the artist's suite is not wheelchair accessible.

The Branscombe House Artist Residency is selected annually via an open call. Our open call is now closed. Check back next year for 2025 opportunity.
