Arts Programs at the Richmond Cultural Centre and Annex connect Richmond’s diverse community with arts education, cultural experiences and creative spaces.
Studios for dance, digital arts, music, painting, ceramics, fibre and textile arts, performing arts and lapidary arts are home to high-quality artist-led registered programs for all ages each season. These facilities are also used by a number of community arts groups and are available to rent for rehearsals or personal artistic practice.
The Richmond Art Gallery’s School Art Program introduces students and teachers to the exciting world of contemporary art. Led by professional art educators, programs teach inquiry-based art viewing strategies that encourage students to make personal connections with art while developing visual literacy
Additionally, arts outreach programs such as the Art Truck after-school program and events, such as the Richmond Children’s Arts Festival are offered throughout the year.
