Harvest Full Moon Celebration
The full moon in autumn is the most beautiful moon of the year. It is called the ‘Harvest Full Moon’ as it coincides with the farmers and fishers harvesting time around the world and though-out history.
Celebrate our city’s rich agricultural and fishing history, through arts and culture community engaged workshops, culminating in a final procession and celebration. Led by local artist, Marina Szijarto, the Harvest Full Moon Project brings us together as a community, to give thanks during the harvest season through traditions, rituals and the arts.
The Celebration will begin in the Community Living Room at City Centre Community Centre from 5:30-7:00pm with art stations, live music, moon cakes and tea to enjoy.
A lantern procession to follow at Minoru Park, Bowling Green Road at 7:30pm with live soft music starting at 6:50pm to engage the community into participating the procession.
This event is for All Ages.
This is an accessible site.
