Due to Canada Post’s rotating strike action, Richmond residents and businesses may experience delays in receiving their Quarter 3 metered utility bills, which were mailed out on October 30, 2025. Mail processing and delivery times may vary daily depending on strike activity.
What to know- The due date for payment is Thursday, December 4, 2025.
- Outstanding balances paid on or before the due date will receive a 10% discount.
- A 10% discount will not be applied to late payments, regardless of whether a notice was received.
- Register for a MyRichmond account to view your utility account.
- Call the Tax Department at 604-276-4145.
- In person at City Hall (6911 No. 3 Road), Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 5:00pm
1. Online using a credit card
- richmond.ca/PayUtilities with the account number and access code found on the utility notice
- A 2% service fee will be applied
- Online or telephone banking, bank machine/ATM or in person
- Allow a minimum of two business days for the payment to reach the City
- Keep the bank receipt as proof of payment
- Located at west entrance
- Include the utility bill stub with the cheque payment
- Do not deposit cash as it will not be processed
- Business hours are Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 5:00pm (closed on Statutory holidays)
- Accepted payment options are: cheque, debit card and credit card
- Cash is not accepted
- A 2% service fee will be applied to credit card payments
- Cheques must be made payable to the City of Richmond
- Cheques post-dated for the due date are accepted
If a payment is made by mail, the postmark date is not accepted as proof of on-time payment.
