Please be advised that the City of Richmond has adopted amendments to the Zoning Bylaw that allows a single secondary suite within a single-family detached home. However, for a secondary suite to be legal, it must be inspected and upgraded to ensure compliance with the BC Building Code requirements for secondary suites and all applicable City bylaws.
