The new Richmond City Council for the 2026-2030 term will be sworn in at a special Inaugural Meeting on Monday, November 2 at 7:00pm at Richmond City Hall. 

Honourable Justice Mr. Eric Gottardi will administer the Oath of Office to newly elected Mayor Rob Howard and re-elected Councillors Carol Day, Laura Gillanders, Andy Hobbs and Michael Wolfe. They will be joined by newly elected Councillors Kenny Chiu, Kevin Lai, Gary Law and Sheldon Starrett who will also take the Oath of Office. 

Mayor Howard will deliver his Inaugural Address and appointments to external Boards will then take place.
