Biography
Kim Cooper is a multi-media artist, designer, and creative community facilitator. While currently living in Vancouver, Kim grew up across Canada and the USA while interspersing shorter jaunts abroad in Europe and Africa to study and practice which has informed and expanded her work. She has studied Fine Art in Colorado and British Columbia and has an Architecture degree from the University of Waterloo, Ontario. Kim’s work is interested in how art can push the viewer, the participant to question and explore our current paradigm. How we can use art to engage with, express and touch our inner selves, our emotions, giving them as much weight, strength and space as needed, in a sensitive thought provoking manner. Her current art dwells in the realm of emotional history, of transformation, using a variety of materials to connect and engage the viewer on multiple levels, pushing them to question our current ethos beyond the rational.
