Biography

I am a Vancouver-based artist working across murals, installations, and illustration, with a focus on public-facing work. I create bold, graphic murals designed to live in everyday spaces like streets, storefronts, and festival environments where people encounter them naturally. My work centers on playful, character-driven scenes and symbolic objects brought together in slightly surreal and unexpected ways. I take familiar imagery and shift it just enough to make it feel humorous, dreamlike, or slightly offbeat, blurring the line between the familiar and the unexpected. My compositions use strong line-work, cohesive colour palettes, and graphic shapes, allowing the work to read clearly from a distance while still holding detail up close. I often work with contained shapes, panels, or vignette-style moments that come together into a larger scene, balancing structure and spontaneity.
My visual language is rooted in pop art, youth iconography, mythic storytelling, and vintage design, drawn to the way nostalgia and surrealism can sit side by side and produce something cheeky and fun. Work that pulls the audience in and rewards the closer look with a story worth figuring out. Through mural festivals and large-scale public commissions for brands and communities, I have developed a strong understanding of how to design for public spaces in a way that genuinely connects with the people who inhabit them. The result is work that evokes cultural nostalgia in a contemporary way, refined, slightly edgy, and culturally relevant. I am most engaged when a concept and a location are inseparable, when the work could only exist in that specific place, for that specific community. That is what I am always working toward.
