Keely O'Brien

Biography

Keely O'Brien is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice incorporates both handmade objects and theatre creation. Devoted to a thoroughly DIY process, Keely’s work includes performance, visual arts processes, and community collaborations. She often creates projects with community members who may not consider themselves artists, and invites the public to participate in unique meaning-making
experiences. Keely is Co-Artistic Director of experimental theatre company Popcorn Galaxies. She holds a BFA from Simon Fraser University.
