Artist Statement

The digital painting of a lavender field brings some calmness and zen to a busy corner in Richmond. It is a reminder to pause and enjoy nature. Close your eyes and take in the sun‘s warm embrace, the calming fragrance of lavender and the buzzing sound of the hard working bees.

The digital painting of water reflections, trees and bushes represents our inner peace and healing. Nature reflections represent hope, and the ripples represent disturbance and drawbacks. The painting speaks of the back and forth journey of healing and finding inner peace. It is often not a straightforward process but as long as we hold onto hope and approach life with compassion, the ripples will one day become calm.
