Nathan Lee

Biography

Nathan lee was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He has taken a broad range of approaches to traditional art and design disciplines, applying his formal training in landscape architecture to industrial design, graphic design and public art. As lead artist/designer of the award-winning Contexture Design, he brings over a decade of practical experience, both as a designer and a craftsman. His diverse project portfolio and hands-on approach has allowed him to explore a broad range of subject matter from boat building to beekeeping. Nathan's whimsical approach to site-specific installations has been well received by municipalities including North Vancouver, New Westminster and Port Moody, all of which have recently awarded him commissions. He has also exhibited work at nationally recognized venues such as the Royal Ontario Museum, the Museum of Vancouver and the Design Exchange.
