Rodney Sayers

Biography
Born and raised in the Alberni Valley on Vancouver Island, Sayers trained at Capilano College, Alberta College of Art and Design, and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design before returning to Port Alberni. In addition to being a master carver and a jewelry maker, Sayers is also a cultural theorist and linguist, having worked tirelessly to preserve and revitalize the Nuu-chah-nulth language.
