Rescue fruit. Plant a garden. Make some noise.

Join GreenSeeds Music Society at the Red Barn in Terra Nova Rural Park for a free, family-friendly day celebrating Richmond's food systems at the peak of harvest season.

Fruit Rescue - Urban Bounty leads a gleaning demonstration and a tasting of local fruit. Learn how backyard harvests get rescued and redistributed across Richmond instead of going to waste.

Paper Cup Gardening - Build a mini garden to take home and grow sprouts on your own windowsill. Free, and yours to keep.

Music Grove - Live songs from Erzsi Institorisz of GreenSeeds Music Society.

Grow Local Info Booth - Meet Richmond growers, community garden groups and the Richmond Climate Hub, and find out how to get involved close to home.

Ride your bike to the barn Terra Nova sits right on Richmond's dyke and trail network, the route in is flat, paved and family-paced, and there's bike parking at the door. Cycle, walk or roll and skip the parking lot entirely.

Good to know

• Completely free - no tickets, no cost at the door
• All ages; kids are welcome, and best with a grown-up along
• Washrooms and parking on site
• Outdoors and indoors - light rain won't stop us
• Bring a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle
