Richmond Maritime Festival

The 23rd annual Richmond Maritime Festival took place on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23 at Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site. This free, family-friendly event celebrated the history of Steveston with maritime-themed programming that spans live music, art installations, and more.

Located along the Steveston Channel on the south arm of the Fraser River, Britannia Shipyards represents an important era in the historical development of Richmond. History buffs won't want to miss exploring the heritage buildings that tell the many stories of past multicultural residents and fisheries workers of Chinese, European, Indigenous, and Japanese descent.
