In a friendly and supporting environment, we will learn how to start our own nature journals, and write down our observations, using words, pictures and numbers. Through fun exercises, we will explore the amazing wonders of our community gardens and all its inhabitants.

Meet Your Instructor: Bea is a character animator, certified medical illustrator (CMI), nature journal educator and Fulbright Scholar with a medical background. With curiosity and enthusiasm, she supports the creativity and artistic development in children through nature drawing program "Budding Artists" at the Richmond Nature Park, art classes at the Richmond Arts Centre and her website Curiosity, Creativity and Beyond (thanks to a small neighbourhood grant by Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives). You can also find a picnic table she painted, depicting 5 birds of the lower Mainland and their nests, at the park next to the Gulf Georgia Cannery National Historic Site. And she bakes (and eats!) her own bread.
