Ships to Shore (May 2-4)
Thank you to everyone who stepped into the unique waterfront experience as the Kaiwo Maru docked at Steveston’s historic harbour.
This free, family-friendly festival celebrated maritime heritage, culture and community. Live performances, interactive exhibits and activities across multiple areas of the site were all set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most iconic tall ships.
Visitors also had the opportunity to view the ship up close and board the vessel.
About the Kaiwo Maru

The Kaiwo Maru, whose name means “King of the Sea,” is one of the largest and most renowned tall ships in the world. Known for its striking white sails and rich history, it represents a legacy of maritime excellence.
