Andrew Talbot

Biography

Andrew Talbot resides in Richmond, BC. His early years were marked by exploration across the Province with his family, armed with a collection of art supplies. As Andrew matured, so did his fervour for art, propelling him towards a relentless pursuit of excellence in his chosen crafts. This dedication culminated in securing the prestigious Master of Tomorrow award from NSCAD in 2015, the culminating year of his BFA studies at the same institution.
While drawing inspiration from the scenic beauty of his homeland and the artistic heritage preceding him, Andrew initially dedicated a significant portion of his career to painting landscapes. However, he found the artistic process itself more captivating than any specific subject matter. This realization led him to diversify his focus, exploring various subjects while developing a visual language that conveys a sense of unity and explores how memories are perceived.
