Employment Connections is a free event for all jobseekers to discover organizations offering help with:
- Job search
- Work experience
- Government benefits
- Training and upskilling
Find programs that best fit your needs, including support for those facing barriers to employment. Bring your resume or cover letter to receive feedback, and take part in mock interviews.
This event is not a job fair. No employers will be present.
Event Accessibility
We strive to offer accessible and inclusive events for everyone.
- Ten (10) accessible parking spaces are available in the adjacent parkade and in front of Minoru Arena. Additional accessible parking is available throughout the Minoru complex, including the lot directly South of the Richmond Cultural Centre Annex (along Granville Ave).
- Wheelchair accessible washrooms are on the main floor of the Richmond Cultural Centre building and on the 1st and 2nd floors of Brighouse Library (elevator access is available).
- Sensory tools will be available for use by event participants, including calming items, fidget items and communication tools. A list of available items can be found here: https://www.yourlibrary.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Sensory-kits-item-list.pdf
- QR codes that link to participating organizations’ webpages will be available on each resource table.
- A magnifier will be available for use during this event from the Library resource table.

Employment Connections is a joint initiative involving a diverse group of Richmond-based community organizations, the City of Richmond and Richmond Public Library, all working together to reduce and prevent poverty in Richmond.
