Housing Target Progress Report


The Province of BC has set housing goals for cities across British Columbia. These goals are part of the Housing Supply Act. Each city must meet these goals over five years.

On August 18, 2025, the City of Richmond received its Housing Target Order. As part of this order, the City must share updates with the Province:

  • One progress report after six months
  • One progress report each year for the next five years

These reports show how many new homes are planned and built. The housing target information is included in the Housing Target Progress Report Form (linked here).
