Steps Toward a Sustainable Community
Over the last decades, the City has taken meaningful steps towards delivering on its vision of a sustainable community. With a continuing commitment to creating a sustainable community that supports environmental, social, cultural, and economic growth and wellbeing, the City has taken a leadership role on the national stage. The City's thinking has evolved, as have the expectations of Richmond residents and businesses. A comprehensive, holistic approach combined with a continuous improvement ethic has allowed the City to meet public expectations for a sustainable community. In meaningful ways, the City is moving towards its 2041 OCP's vision, and Sustainable Framework goals and progress can be seen every day.
