Getting Richmond Moving

About Getting Richmond Moving

Getting Richmond Moving promotes active healthy living in Richmond through five key initiatives:

Walk Richmond
This initiative is aimed at building a legacy of healthy lifestyles in Richmond by engaging people in lifelong walking. This project, a partnership between the Richmond Fitness and Wellness Association and the City of Richmond, offers people living and working in Richmond the opportunity to take steps towards healthier living by changing behaviours and encouraging them to explore the benefits of walking and active living. Visit the Walk Richmond page for more information including schedules and and maps.

Grade 5 Active! Pass
All Grade 5 students in Richmond are eligible to receive this pass that provides free access to aquatic facilities, arenas and select community centres throughout the school year. Visit the Grade 5 Active! Pass page for more information.

Stay Active, Eat Healthy
This initiative aims to ensure that healthy food options are available in all community centre vending machines, as well as arenas and aquatics concessions.
