New Minoru Complex
Set in beautiful Minoru Park, Minoru Place Activity Centre (MPAC) offers an inviting environment for adults 55 years and older to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle. A vast range of activities and programs including registered programs, out trips, special events, health and wellness clinics and support groups are offered for all levels of ability. With an annual Facility Pass, community members can choose to join any of the 35 different activity groups that meet regularly. Complimentary honorary memberships are available to those 90+ years of age.
Minoru Place Activity Centre (MPAC) hosts a full-service cafeteria, Billiards room, wood working shop, multi-purpose rooms for programs and events and casual seating space for reading, cards or socializing. A variety of daytime out trips by bus, boat and train to special attractions, events and restaurants are offered.

Operated by the Minoru Seniors Society, the cafeteria provides meal service and snacks at reasonable prices. Hot entrees are available Monday-Friday, 11:30 am-1:30 pm and Fridays 4:30-6:00 pm. Minoru Centre for Active Living
The new Minoru Centre for Active Living will open for service in 2018. The facility will include an aquatic centre, seniors centre and other recreation and sport amenities. This facility will replace the aging and outdated Minoru Aquatic Centre and Minoru Place Activity Centre as well as the former Minoru Pavilion.
The new facility's aquatic centre will feature:
- two 25-metre swimming pools (one 8-lane tank and one 6-lane tank) with accessible features an varying depths and temperatures, allowing for greater usability and flexibility in programming.
- a large leisure pool with features including a river run, spray elements and play features.
- a wellness area with two hot pools, a cold plunge pool, steam room and saunas.
- a large change room area featuring a mix of gender-specific and universal change areas.
The facility's seniors centre will be located on two floors with a lounge, full-service café, a range of activity rooms, including an arts studio, woodworking shop, billiards/games room, multipurpose rooms and a dedicated entrance and lobby.
Other features include a 7,300 square foot fitness centre offering a range of machines and equipment to cater to users of all ages and abilities. The facility will also house eight team rooms for sport field users that are accessible from the fields and multipurpose spaces to support tournaments and events.
