To get ready for ONLINE Winter 2020 registration:
Activate your NEW account in 3 easy steps:
1. Check your inbox for an email from the City of Richmond (firstname.lastname@example.org) that was sent on November 6.
2. Follow the instructions in your e-mail guiding you to activate your account.
3. Log in to your new account using your email and password.
If you did not receive an email on November 6, contact the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300 (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm) or drop in to one of our recreation facilities during regular operating hours and staff will be happy to help you set up your account.

Tips to Make Registration Easier
Download the Program Registration Worksheet to make sure you're ready for registration night!
1. Activate your new online program registration account
Do a trial run by logging into your account early to ensure your EMAIL address and PASSWORD are valid.
2. Check that your family members have been added your account
You can check your added family members by clicking MY INFO when logged into your account.
3. Have your method of payment ready
Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit card number with expiry date and CVV.
Select your courses in advance. Browse through the Parks, Recreation and Culture Guide (paper or online) and select the programs you want to register in.
5. Have a back-up plan
Have a list of back-up programs in case the one that you want is full and you have to waitlist. You can always add a name to a wait list, there’s no charge for this option. Experience shows that often people get in from a wait list so be sure to add your name.
6. Choose how to register - 1 of 3 ways
- Online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at www.richmond.ca/register
- By phone by calling the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
- In person at any parks, recreation or cultural facility. Note: debit, cheque and cash are also accepted when registering in person

Where do I login to the new system?

How can I find my password?
If you have forgotten your password or would like to reset your password, select the blue Forgot Password? link on the Login Page.
What should I do if I didn't receive my password reset e-mail?
If you didn’t receive your password reset e-mail in your inbox or your junk/spam folder, contact the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300. Some clients have reported issues receiving e-mails from the City of Richmond. The Registration Call Centre can assist customers in resetting their password.
Can I create my own account online?
After November 6, you can create your own account online as long as you do not already have an existing account.
What if I don't want to provide an e-mail address?
An e-mail address is only required to register for courses online. For over the phone and in-person registration, an e-mail address is not required.
Why is the program registration system changing?
The City’s current program registration system is being retired by the vendor, so we are moving to a new system. Our new registration system is modern, user-friendly and adaptive.
Why was the new system chosen?
The new system was chosen as it is faster, more powerful, highly personalized and tightly integrated with consumer technology, including mobile phones.
Will I need to create an account in the new system?
If you have registered for a program or purchased a membership at any Parks, Recreation and Culture facility in the past two years, your customer account will be transferred to the new system. However, you will need to activate your new account after November 6 in order to access online registration.
Will my old account information be transferred over to the new system?
If you have registered for a program or purchased a membership at any Parks, Recreation and Cultural facility in the past two years, your customer account will be transferred to the new system.
What are some of the new system's features?
- Simple log in using your email address and password
- Search thousands of programs and events quickly with more search and filter options
- Manage your family's schedule with a personalized calendar view of registrations
- Add registered programs to your iOS, Google and Outlook calendars
- Use gift cards and Recreation Fee Subsidy Program allocations for online payment

How will customers’ personal information be secured in the new registration system?
The new program registration system meets the industry standard for encryption and security measures in addition to the City of Richmond’s Protection of Privacy standards around the collection, storage, use and disclosure of personal information. At the same time, we strongly recommend that you choose a strong password and remain diligent about protecting your personal information. What internet browser is best when using the new system?
We recommend using Google Chrome when using the new Parks, Recreation and Culture program registration system.
How do I register online for Winter 2020 programs on December 3?
- Check your inbox for an e-mail from the City of Richmond (email@example.com) sent on November 6, 2019.
- Follow the instructions in your email guiding you to activate your account.
- Log in to your new account using your email and password.
How can I prepare to register for Winter 2020 program registration?
In order to prepare for Winter 2020 online program registration, follow these tips:
1. Starting Saturday, November 30, browse through the Parks, Recreation and Culture Guide (paper or online) or search and select the programs you want to register in.
2. Write down the course number(s) from the Parks, Recreation and Culture Guide.
3. Have your NEW login information on hand (e-mail and password). 4. Have your method of payment ready: Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card number with expiry date.

We encourage ALL users to do a trial run by logging into the system to ensure your account is valid and to get familiar with the new program registration system.
How will online registration be different for Winter 2020 programs?
- Login using email and password into MyRichmond
- New interface to browse Parks, Recreation and Culture programs
- Easy checkout process for payment using credit cards as well as gift cards and Recreation Fee Subsidy Program allocations
For Winter 2020 registration, customers will be using the new program registration system. The key differences will be:
Do I still need my Client ID and PIN number?
Client ID and PIN numbers are no longer required to log into the new system. Starting November 6, you will only need to use your e-mail address and password to log in.
I'm logged in but I can't see my family members?
When you are logged in, select MY INFO in the top left corner. If you are unable to see your family members it is because:
a) Only the primary contact can view, access and register family members on account for online registration. To confirm who the primary contact is on your account, please contact the Registration Call Centre (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm) or any recreation facility.
b) If you have just created your account, you may not have any family members added yet. Once logged in select MY INFO and add family members.
I don't have a birthdate on my account or a birth date is wrong, can I still register online?
Birthdates are required for registration in age-validated programs online. Once a birthdate has been entered it can only be updated through the Registration Call Centre or a recreation facility. If you notice a birthdate is incorrect on your profile, contact the Registration Call Centre (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm) to update your birthdate information.
How do I change a birthdate on my account?
Users are unable to edit birthdate information on their profile once it has been entered. If you notice a birthdate is missing or incorrect on your profile, contact the Registration Call Centre (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm) to have your birthdate information updated.
What is MyRichmond?
MyRichmond is the City of Richmond’s online portal granting customers access to a variety of services with a single login, using an email and password. Learn more about additional services here: richmond.ca/myrichmond.
Why do I need a MyRichmond account?
MyRichmond offers a variety of services using a single sign-on portal. One of these services is the new program registration system.
What if I already have a MyRichmond account?
If you already have a MyRichmond account, your information from the previous program registration system will be merged with your existing account and you should have received a confirmation email on November 6.
Refunds, Withdrawals and Transfer Guidelines
We encourage customers to contact the Registration Call Centre, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm to receive a refund or to withdraw or transfer from a class or program. Customers may choose to contact the facility offering the class if withdrawing outside of Registration Call Centre hours.
Note: refunds, withdrawals and transfers cannot be processed online.

Arena and Aquatic Schedules and Sport Field and Rental Information
Call 604-276-4300 to listen to the daily recording of Arena and Aquatic schedules or Sport Field and Rental Information or speak with a Registration Call Centre Customer Service Agent Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.
If enough participants are not registered in certain classes, the class will be cancelled or postponed. Don't wait until the last minute - register today!
