About the Street Banner Program
This City of Richmond program is a civic beautification initiative that strives to engage community members to submit creative and visually appealing designs taken from around Richmond. Banner designs are selected through an annual contest that is open to all members of the community. Entries received in the banner contest celebrate the places, activities and experiences that make Richmond so beautiful and unique.
2020-2021 Street Banner Contest
The public can vote for their favourite designs starting Tuesday, September 29 until 11:59 p.m. on Monday October 12, 2020.
The Street Banner Contest closed on Friday, September 18 with over 650 individual submissions received. A judging panel of community volunteers has narrowed down the competition to 20 semi-finalists (two designs for each of the 10 themes) and now it's time for the public to vote.

The contest is now closed. The 10 winning 2020 Street Banner designs are now on display throughout the city.
2020 Banner Contest Winning Designs
This year, over 400 individual banner design entries were received. To view the online gallery pages of the great artwork sent for consideration, visit the contest website and click on ENTRY GALLERY to choose the artwork page to be viewed.
Note: all artist’s names have been removed to respect privacy and each banner design has been randomly assigned a number.
Past Banner Designs
Looking to own a copy of a favourite previously displayed street banner design? Past year’s banners and recycled banner bags are available for sale from the City's Parks Department. To place an order, email email@example.com or call 604-244-1208. Available banners can be viewed below.
Banner orders can be paid for and picked up at the Parks main reception located in the Community Services building at the City of Richmond’s Operations Yard, 5599 Lynas Lane, Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 4:15pm.
Availability is subject to change. To be added to the waitlist for 2019 banners in spring 2020, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
**Please note that the banners for sale are from previously displayed collections with appearances that will vary in quality and appearance based on time spent in the elements (sun, rain, wind, and snow).**

Street banners are $10 each or two for $15. Recycled banner bags are $8 each. Designs vary.
Preferred payment methods: debit, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Exact change is required if paying by cash.
Street banners are 32" wide x 80" long.
