Street Banner Program
About the Street Banner Program
The City of Richmond’s street banner program is a civic beautification initiative that strives to engage community members to submit creative and visually appealing designs taken from around Richmond. Banner designs are selected through an annual contest that is open to all members of the community. Entries received in the banner contest celebrate the places, activities, and experiences that make Richmond so beautiful and unique.
Now Accepting Submissions
The annual City of Richmond Street Banner Contest is now underway with entries being accepted that celebrate Richmond's diversity, landscapes,
activities and unique experiences. Artists of all ages and abilities are encouraged to submit creative and visually-appealing designs through a range of artistic medium in this community-engaging contest.
For more information about the contest including contest rules and guidelines, and to submit your entries, please visit the 2018-2019 Richmond Street Banner Contest website. The deadline for entry is September 28, 2018.
Past Banner Designs
Looking to own a copy of your favourite previously displayed street banner design? Past year’s banners and recycled banner bags are available for sale from the City's Parks Department. To place your order, please visit the Parks main reception Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Banner orders can be paid for and picked up at the Parks main reception located in the Community Services building at the City of Richmond’s Operations Yard, 5599 Lynas Lane. Availability is subject to change.
Please note that the banners for sale are from previously displayed collections, meaning that they have been up in the elements (sun, rain, wind, and snow). Because of this, banner quality and appearance may vary.
