Cook with cranberries at the Nature Park this fall season

Cranberry season is back and the Nature Park is offering hands-on cooking and baking courses on Saturday, October 7 led by a registered dietitian. These fresh and nutritious super berries are the star ingredient in the Cooking with Cranberries (noon to 2 p.m.) and Baking with Cranberries (2:30 to 4:30 p.m.) programs that include cranberry apple smoothies and cranberry white chocolate oatmeal cookies. Each session also includes a nature walk to search for and learn about these bog berries.
The cost is $25 per course, per person. Register using course code #2038439 for Cooking with Cranberries and #2038438 for Baking with Cranberries one of three ways: online at www.richmond.ca/register; by calling the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; or in-person at Richmond Nature Park (11851 Westminster Highway).
The Nature Park is also celebrating the 25th anniversary of its annual Cranberry Sale on Saturday, October 7 with berries supplied by Ocean Spray Farms. Pick up a batch of cranberries between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. while quantities last. Proceeds from the sale will support the Richmond Nature Park Society’s environmental education programs for children and families.
