Richmond offers second opportunity for 2017 child care grant applications
05 April 2017
The City of Richmond is offering a second opportunity for community non-profit service organizations to apply for a 2017 child care capital grant to help support their work in delivering licensed child care in Richmond. Applications will be accepted from April 5 to May 5, 2017.
“The primary mandate of the City’s Grants Program is to improve the quality of life of Richmond residents through building community,” says Mayor Malcolm Brodie. “And assisting non-profit community groups with the organizational capacity to provide important programs, such as child care, helps build a strong community.”
Grant applications are being accepted through the City’s online applications program, which offers an efficient and user-friendly experience. As well, two guideline booklets –The Child Care Grants Program Guidelines and the Child Care Web-based System Grant Applicant User Guide are available online to assist applicants with filing a grant application.
For access to the online application program, guidelines and other useful information, visit www.richmond.ca/citygrants.
The City is able to offer this second intake due to a smaller than expected response to the first 2017 grant offering.
