Andy Hobbs is a retired Vancouver Police Superintendent with over 35 years of experience. He grew up in Richmond and graduated from Richmond High and UBC. Andy and Lynn, married since 1982, have three children and welcomed their first grandchild.
Andy received several commendations from the VPD and was inducted into the Order of Merit of the Police Forces by the Governor General of Canada in June, 2011. In 2013, he received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for community service.
Andy served two terms on the Richmond School Board, the Richmond Kigoos Swim Club executive and the Richmond Community Foundation. Currently, he is a director of Tourism Richmond Board, a member of the Richmond Intercultural Advisory Committee, the Britannia Heritage Shipyard Society (Chair), Steveston Salmon Festival Committee and the Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Stakeholders Relations Committee.
