On Saturday, May 29, 2021, eligible voters in Richmond will be electing one Councillor as a result of a vacancy in November 2020. The new Councillor elected in 2021 will serve along with the other members of Richmond City Council until the next scheduled General Local and School Election, on October 15, 2022.
The candidate nomination period begins on Tuesday, April 13 at 9:00 a.m. and ends on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.

The nomination and candidate information package for the office of Councillor is available below and for pick up in the Elections Office by appointment only. Two nominators are required per candidate. No nomination deposit is required.
