Branscombe House Artist Residency RFP
Request for Proposal (RFP) Branscombe House
2020 Artist Residency
4900 Steveston Highway
Applications for the 2020 Branscombe House Artist-in-Residence program is now closed. Shortlisted applicants will be notified as soon as possible.
Each year, the City of Richmond’s Arts, Culture and Heritage Services department invites professional artists in all disciplines (including writers, composers, visual artists, musicians, theatre artists, video, multi-disciplinary and performance artists) to submit proposals for an 11-month live-in residency to begin in January 2020 and run until mid-December 2020.
Branscombe House is a recently restored Edwardian style house located in the residential area of Steveston. The self-contained two-bedroom suite upstairs is offered as an artist residence/studio with rent 100% subsidized in exchange for ~22 hours/month (240 hours total) of artist-led community-engaged programming.
Visit Branscombe House Artist-in-Residency for further information about the residency program and here for details about the artists’ suite in Branscombe House. This residency is located in a heritage building and, as such, the artist suite is not wheelchair accessible.
