Artist Statement:
This design is a Sea to Sky motif featuring traditional iconography of the Pacific Northwest and the teachings and culture of Thomas Cannell’s Musqueam ancestors. Eagles & Salmon together are uplifting and inspiring: symbols of protection and enlightenment. On their own, the Eagle is the ruler of the sky and can transform himself as he has a connection with our creator.
