Description of Work:
Twenty feet long stylized sturgeon made of stainless steel.

Artist Statement:
Fraser Giant symbolically depicts a 150-year-old sturgeon as a metaphor for the Fraser River in celebration of the region’s maritime heritage. Created in acknowledgement of Canada’s 150th anniversary of confederation, the sculpture is also a symbol of longevity, resilience and hope for the City of Richmond.
