Description of Work:
In 1978, the former building at this site, Gulf & Fraser Credit Union, was built with concrete relief panels by artist Leonhard Epp who sculpted images portraying the commercial fishery history of Steveston Village. The Steveston Flats Development Corporation has carefully restored and incorporated the Leonhard Epp reliefs into the new building design.

Artist Statement:
In 1978, the former building at this site, Gulf & Fraser Credit Union, was built with concrete relief panels by artist Leonhard Epp who sculpted images portraying the commercial fishery history of Steveston Village. Recognizing the historical and cultural value of the Epp panels, Steveston Flats Development Corporation salvaged nine panels to be incorporated into their new development completed in 2017.
