Description of Work:
The artist book and model have been created through laser etching and scorching. The books were then hand cut, scored, folded, and assembled to create an accordion folded page album. Each book is ‘housed’ in a box. The box base and lid have been hand-crafted in the form of a house.

The artist book is also accompanied by a ‘model’ house.

Artist Statement:
The ‘Art House’ is both a concept and an active project to create affordable dwellings and artworks. In this way, the artists play with semantics to reference the cross-over between art and architecture in this book edition, including approaches to the construction of the book.

The book has been created through laser etching a process used exclusively to make architectural models but not readily associated with reading.
