Description of Work:
Water fountain constructed from Aluminum panels, stainless steel with powder coated finish.
Artist Statement:
Richmond’s waters are home to many species of birds including ducks, most of which are at
their most visible during seasonal migration. In this work we see a quartet of waterfowl drakes:
a Harlequin duck, a Wood duck, a Mallard duck and a Mandarin duck. A water feature
heightens the simple joy of both wild and introduced birds, and the richness they bring to those
lucky enough to share their habitat.
