Description of Work:
This work is a series of four water-based paint images of the presence of water in the four seasons within Richmond. Using watercolour, ink, and gouache; each painting shows a vibrant array of colours to symbolize the vibrancy of Richmond’s diverse culture.

Artist Statement:
As an island city that revolves around the element, water has become ingrained in our history; our culture. The water cycle and life cycle are in a way, intertwined with one another.



Water is essentially the source of all life; it’s what allows us to thrive and grow individually and as a community.
