Pat Talmey
Richmond, Canada
Biography
I was born at St. Pauls Hospital on Jan. 3, 1948, and have lived in Richmond for my entire life. My father was Dr. R.C. Talmey, who practiced medicine in Richmond for many years. I graduated from Richmond High School in 1966, and took “Architechtural Drafting and Design” at Red River Community College in Winnipeg. I have been happily married for 35 years to my wife Diane, and we have 2 children, Patrick and Tara. I worked for the City of Richmond for 35 years, and retired this past December. I am a principal in a small property development company and have designed and constructed many commercial and residential projects over the past number of years. While with the City of Richmond I designed and constructed many sanitary and drainage pump stations. I have tried to incorporate into my designs a feel for the history of the area, I feel that functionality and beauty can co-exist in the same structure.
