Volunteers are welcome at the Richmond Arts Centre. Volunteers are needed to assist Arts Centre instructors in a variety of children’s arts programs throughout the year and also for occasional special events. Programs cover a range of art including drawing, painting, drama, clay and more. Volunteers are needed to assist with classes for children ages four to twelve. All volunteers will need to complete a criminal record check before working with children.
Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Helping the instructor set-up and prepare for class
- Helping the instructor clean up after class
- Assisting the instructor during large classes, ensuring each child is given ample attention. This may include running errands for the instructor, dealing with children needing extra attention, or even taking a child to use the washrooms.
