Laura Rivera - Animation & Digital Illustration
Laura Rivera is a professional screenwriter and digital artist trained in digital arts and writing for film, television and classical animation and has been publishing her comics online since 2013 at tapas.io/LauraRivera. She has also participated in several conventions across Canada, Mexico and the United States with her most recent comic Ninja X debuting at VanCaf in May 2018.
Serisa Fitz-James - Stop-Motion Animation
Serisa Fitz-James is a Filipinx-Canadian artist who currently works and resides on the unceded lands of the Coast Salish peoples - Squamish, Stó:lō, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam Nations. They are a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores ways to use art to heal, express, uplift and educate. Their interests include animation, film, ceramics, illustration and performance. They are the Current Artist in Residence at Port Moody Arts Centre and have a current focus on ceramics, sculpture and illustration. They love their family, teaching, laughing, basketball, riding their bike and working together with their friends.
Merissa Victor - Graphic Design
Meissa Victor is a multidisciplinary artist working with the mediums of film, illustration, animation and design. Driven to craft engaging and immersive visuals with a strong voice and purpose, her work is rooted in mediating the intricacies and nuances of life. Merissa has collaborated with various non-profit organizations, artists and brands in Vancouver and her hometown, Kuala Lumpur. She is a 2019 Adobe Creative Scholar and a 2020 graduate of UBC's Media Studies program.
Sahand Mohajer - Filmmaking & Video Editing
Sahand Mohajer is a media educator passionate about inspiring the next generation of visual storytellers. Sahand collaborates with impactful organizations around Canada, helping tell their stories and connect with their communities. His documentary and narrative films have been exhibited at Art Toronto, Museum of Vancouver and VIVO.
