Rental Information

Rental space at City Hall may be booked for a day, evening or weekend. Information below includes:

Booking a Room
The procedures for booking a room are as follows:

  1. Confirm the availability of the room with Customer Service by emailing info@richmond.ca or calling 604-204-8663.
  2. Download the PDF Document rentals terms and conditions form, complete it, and return it for processing.
  3. Familiarize attendees with booking terms and conditions by downloading the
    PDF Document parking information.            

Rates for Facilities
Below is a summary of the rental offerings at City Hall.

Special Events
Fees for corporate and private special events for over 150 attendees will be approved on an individual basis by the Customer Service department. Social events include set up and take down, use of the Galleria and Atrium, security and janitorial needs. A $500.00 deposit is required at the time of booking. Final payment must be received a minimum of 60 days prior to the rental date. Rates are for rentals to a maximum of six hours. Requests for other equipment can be arranged for an additional cost.

Applicable taxes to be added to all rates and a cancellation fee will apply to any cancelled bookings. Additional rates for appropriate staffing may apply. 

Parking Information
Richmond City Hall offers on site complimentary visitor parking for 2 hours, 8:15 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. If your event will exceed the maximum two hours parking, alternate parking is available.

  • 2nd Floor Library Cultural Centre Parkade
  • South of Clement Track (aka Minoru Track)
  • Brighouse Park (paid parking)

Cancellation Policy
Notice of cancellation must be in writing and the following charges will apply:

  • 30 days or more prior to the booking: 25% of total charge
  • Less than 30 days prior to the booking: 50% of total charge
  • Less than 48 hours prior to the meeting: 100% of total charge
