Robert Charles Scotchbrook enlisted in Vancouver on August 30, 1916, giving his occupation as farmer and religion as Church of England. He listed his wife, Florrie, as next of kin, and their address as Steveston, B.C. Prior to their marriage on December 9, 1913, Florrie's maiden name was Mitchell. There was also a child Edith Dorothy, born July 26, 1907.
On enlistment Robert Scotchbrook joined the Royal Canadian Regiment. He died of appendicitis at Esquimalt on September 27, 1916, less than one month after enlistment.
