Intergovernmental Relations and Protocol Unit
The Intergovernmental Relations and Protocol Unit (IRPU) is responsible for liaising with other governmental organizations on issues of mutual concern, as well as facilitating financial and other support from those organizations for City and community initiatives. In addition this unit manages Protocol activities between the City and senior governments, and the international diplomatic community.
One of the duties of this Unit is to oversee the hosting of visitors and delegations at City Hall and other City Facilities. See Tours & Delegations for more information.
