Registration now open for Richmond’s Youth Civic Engagement Program

Richmond residents aged 15 to 20 years old are encouraged to register for an innovative and free eight-session program focused on the workings of local government hosted by the City of Richmond.

Beginning Thursday, September 30, 2021, the program will offer youth a unique education-to-action experience to learn the decision-making process of local government, while meeting like-minded individuals. The program will be held both online and, in alignment with and support of Public Health Orders, potentially at Richmond City Hall.

Registration is limited to 16 people and youth will have the opportunity to present to a mock City Council on Thursday, November 25.

There are two ways to register:

  • Online at www.richmond.ca/register
  • By phone at 604-276-4300, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Register is first come, first serve and the deadline to register is end of day Monday, September 27
