Business Licences

NEW: MyBusiness Portal

MyBusiness Business Licence Portal

MyBusiness - Business Licence Portal
To conduct your business in Richmond, you must have a valid business licence.

The City of Richmond is preparing to launch MyBusiness, a new online business licence service within the City's MyRichmond portal - coming in 2022.

MyRichmond provides “one customer profile” for each Richmond resident or business person. To maintain a consistent experience across multiple platforms, MyBusiness will be added to allow businesses the opportunity to access City business licencing services at any time.

MyBusiness will provide business owners with the ability to apply, renew, and update business licences online via MyRichmond without having to come into City Hall. MyBusiness will provide community benefits through improved access, increased availability, and a streamlined business licencing process.

How your Business Can Prepare for the Launch
  • Sign up for a MyRichmond account today
  • Confirm that your MyRichmond account and business licence e-mail addresses are the same. If you are unsure, call the Business Support Centre at 604-276-4114 or e-mail businesshelp@richmond.ca.

How to Apply for Your Business Licence Currently
Until the launch, businesses will need to continue to renew and apply for business licences via current practices. Hard copy business licences given with renewal reminder letters will eventually be phased out after the launch of MyBusiness.
