Yard and Garden Collection Guidelines

  • Place yard and garden trimmings at curbside before 8:00 a.m. on collection day.  Make sure bags are strong enough to hold without breaking, and bundles are secure to avoid scattering.  Please do not place objects on the road; they obstruct traffic and street cleaning equipment.
  • The City does not pick-up loose leaves from the roadway.  Please ensure all leaves from your property are gathered into clear bags for pick-up.
  • Yard and garden trimmings are picked up the same day garbage and recycling items are collected.  Collection is on day later after a statutory holiday.
  • Please do not place trimmings out any earlier than the night before collection.  This helps to enhance the visual appeal of our streets.
