Explanation of Project
Completion of rip-rap erosion protection and dyke raising.
South Dyke starting at approximately No. 7 Road to +/- 970 metres east
Scope of Work
- Re-shaping of the existing dyke
- Construction of erosion control protection (rip-rap)
- Dyke raising
- Environmental enhancements
General Considerations
- Hours of work will be extended to accommodate low tide conditions and will typically be between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.
- Vehicles and pedestrian traffic is prohibited.
- This work is being completed to bolster the City's erosion protection defences prior to the 2007 spring freshet.
Capital Funding
$1,371,000 (provincial grant)
