2010 Landscape and Garden Tours
Are you an avid gardener? Do you like showing off your garden to your friends and family? Then the City of Richmond’s Landscape and Garden Tours program is for you!Entering your landscape or garden is a wonderful opportunity to share your expertise, enthusiasm, and personal gardening techniques with fellow gardeners and the citizens of Richmond. Show us your potted plants and porches, your winding paths and secret gardens, your prized roses or lilies…but most of all, show us your love of gardening!
Participating gardens will be open to the public on either Saturday, July 10 or Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm (participants may choose one of the two dates).
A presentation of all participating entries will take place in September at Richmond City Hall.
The Rules
- The program is open to all properties and residents in Richmond
- Landscapes and gardens must adhere to the City’s Pesticide Use Bylaw. For more information on this bylaw, visit www.richmond.ca or call 604-244-1250.
- A member of the household or organization must be on site to provide information and facilitate tours of their garden.
- Only registered participants will receive a tour map and may participate in the program. Registration is coordinated by the Parks and Recreation Dept.
- All participants must have adequate property and liability insurance. All gardens and personal property shall be at the risk of the exhibitor and the City of Richmond or its designates shall not be held liable for any loss or damage from any cause whatsoever.
- Any photographs taken of the properties remain the property of the City of Richmond and shall be used as necessary for promotional purposes.

Note: If completing your entry online, you MUST include your name, property address, category entered and day/evening contact numbers. Any entries recieved without ALL of the aforementioned information will be considered incomplete and will not be judged.
How To Obtain a Tour Map
Public registration for the Landscape and Garden Tours is open from June 22 to July 8. Cost to register is $5.00 with all proceeds going to support gardening programs in the community. You can register through the following ways:
- Register online. Course number is 71851.
- Calling the Recreation Call Centre at 604-275-4300
- Dropping by the Parks and Recreation Office (5599 Lynas Lane) from Monday to Friday, between 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
