  • Never leave the key in the ignition.
  • Keep spare keys in your wallet and not in the car.
  • Never leave your car keys unattended (e.g., in a gym locker).
  • If you have gated parking, wait for the gate to close behind you.
  • Lock all valuables in the trunk before you reach your final destination.
  • Don't leave your driver's license in your vehicle.
  • Don't leave your remote in the vehicle.
  • Install a tamper-resistant motion detector in your driveway.
  • If you valet, leave only the ignition/door key.
