Secure Your Personal Items
- Leave nothing in your vehicle!!
- Park in well-lit, busy areas.
- Use a visual deterrent such as steering wheel lock or other anti-theft devices.
- Always lock your vehicle - even when driving, and roll up your windows.
- Never leave the key in the ignition.
- Keep spare keys in your wallet and not in the car.
- Never leave your car keys unattended (e.g., in a gym locker).
- If you have gated parking, wait for the gate to close behind you.
- Lock all valuables in the trunk before you reach your final destination.
- Don't leave your driver's license in your vehicle.
- Don't leave your remote in the vehicle.
- Install a tamper-resistant motion detector in your driveway.
- If you valet, leave only the ignition/door key.
- Store a "Help/Call Police" sign in your trunk. If your car breaks down, put the sign in the window and stay in the car with the windows closed and the doors locked.
